Phoseon delivers a variety of products with varying peak irradiance to match specific application and machine requirements. Peak irradiance in UV curing is the maximum measured irradiance from the UV emitting window. Applications may need a low irradiance (< 2W/cm²) to ‘pin’ or ‘hold’ a coating or ink in place while needing a higher irradiance (> 4W/cm² ) to fully cure to the desired consistency, adhesion, or special effect such as gloss/matte.
The peak intensity and total energy of a UV LED source is relatively more important for cure performance than the specific peak wavelength.
